Healing isn’t about becoming someone different.

It’s about understanding yourself more fully.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You may know something isn't working, but struggle to understand why you keep finding yourself in the same patterns. Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, disconnected from yourself, exhausted by perfectionism, or wondering why the strategies that once helped no longer seem to work.

Maybe something
isn’t wrong with you.
Maybe something is just
being asked to be understood.

You may be someone who is used to doing well. You care deeply, work hard, and hold yourself to high standards. From the outside, things may appear fine, but internally, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from trying to keep everything together.

Therapy can be a place to slow down and become curious about what is happening beneath the surface. Rather than simply asking how to make a symptom go away, we can begin to understand what it is communicating, what it may be protecting, and what you might need instead.

My Approach

What’s happening beneath the surface matters.

I don't believe symptoms exist in isolation. The ways you cope, think, relate, achieve, control, avoid, or care for others often make sense when we understand what they have helped you navigate.

Therapy is an opportunity to look at those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we'll explore what is keeping you stuck, build greater tolerance for uncertainty and discomfort, and strengthen your ability to trust yourself, not simply follow what you think you should do.

Specialized Eating Disorder Expertise

Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant
(CEDS-C)

12+ YEARS OF CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

With advanced training and extensive clinical experience in eating disorders, I bring specialized knowledge to work involving eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image.

I have worked clinically and within leadership across levels of care and alongside multidisciplinary teams, giving me a deep understanding of both the complexity of eating disorders and the importance of individualized treatment.

Specialized expertise does not mean a one-size-fits-all approach. It means having the knowledge to understand what you're experiencing while keeping the person, not just the diagnosis, at the center of care.

You might be a good fit if…

Therapy that begins with understanding

Many people come to therapy hoping the anxiety will stop, the relationship will improve, or the eating disorder thoughts will quiet down.

While reducing symptoms matters, I don't believe that's the only place where meaningful healing begins.

Symptoms often develop for understandable reasons. They reflect the ways we've learned to cope, protect ourselves, or navigate difficult experiences. Rather than asking, "How do we make this go away?" we begin by asking, "What might this be communicating?"

Understanding those patterns creates the foundation for meaningful, lasting change, not because we're forcing something to disappear, but because we're building greater awareness, flexibility, and choice.
