Therapy
Working Together
Dana provides individualized, evidence-informed therapy for teens and women in their 20’s-30’s seeking more than short-term coping. With over a decade of experience and advanced training as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant (CEDS-C), she specializes in working with individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, perfectionism, identity development, and relational patterns. Therapy is tailored not only to your symptoms, but to your temperament, history, and the patterns that shape how you move through the world.
Dana has particular expertise in working with high-achieving individuals whose strengths, including drive, discipline, over-control, competitiveness, and self-expectation, have supported their success, yet may also contribute to burnout, rigidity, body image distress, or emotional overwhelm. Her work honors these traits while helping clients build greater flexibility, self-trust, and sustainability.
Areas of focus include:
Adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, identity development, perfectionism, relational patterns, and major life transitions
Eating disorders and disordered eating, including concerns rooted in control, identity, and the use of food or the body to regulate emotion
Burnout related to high achievement
Therapy with Dana is collaborative, honest, and paced with care. Her work is relational and evidence-informed, with attention to both emotional regulation and the deeper patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. This is not about being “fixed”, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, loosening patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you, and building a way of living that feels better and more authentic. Dana’s approach is informed by her training as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant, with particular attention to how concerns around food, body image, control, and perfectionism often coexist with anxiety, identity development, and relational dynamics. rather than existing in isolation.
Dana is often a good fit for clients who are thoughtful, self-aware, and motivated for deeper work, even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin.
Fees & Scheduling:
Individual therapy sessions are $275 per session. Dana works primarily with clients who are able to commit to weekly therapy, as consistency is often essential for meaningful and lasting change. A limited number of reduced-fee weekly appointments may be available and are discussed during consultation.
Why Private-Pay Therapy Versus Insurance:
Working outside of insurance allows therapy to be guided by clinical need rather than diagnostic labels, session caps, or third-party oversight. This structure supports privacy, flexibility, and depth — creating space for work that prioritizes long-term structural change rather than short-term symptom management.
For many clients, this model allows therapy to feel more protected, personalized, and effective.
Locations:
Dana offers virtual therapy for clients located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Colorado, and Tennessee.
Consultations are a chance to discuss fit, availability, and whether weekly therapy makes sense for you.
